Weekend hereI'm in my hometown this weekend. Actually I didn't plan for that since friends are coming and they're going to make a tour de Malang. Then probably I am the best guide ever cause I was born and grew up here. We went to such places which actually i'd never been there (but that doesn't mean that I'm a bad guide, do I?).
We went to a small temple in sub urban of Malang called Singosari and the temple named after it. I took some pictures but then I run out of battery..thank goodness Fif offered me to use two of his. I think I had taken the wrong batteries when I was at home. But anyway, the temple is small and I think they don't take care of this temple properly. What the other weird thing in my opinion is, this temple is like in the middle of housing area. So when I saw the temple, I felt I was like in the old times, but when I turned my head around, there I could see modern houses, and then the feeling was gone. In other way, I still like the temple though I don't know exactly the story behind it (Duh....!). Frank asked how come I'd never been there because it's so near to my place. I told him that I went there when I was 5 years old or something and when I grew up, and met friends what I wanted, was just going to a mall, do some fun things rather than visiting temple like a tourist. Isn't it like that for almost everyone? And here Frank teased me around with Henry...doing this and that, said this and that. Darn you Frank! There will be payback time. :P
Second destination was one of the waterfalls in Batu. We visited Coban Rondo, which means Widower waterfalls. I read the story behind it and yeah I think it's a typical Javanese story. We took some pictures on our way to the waterfall and by the way the view was really good from the top, the wind was blowing a bit hard, and I made a Charlie's Angels pose with Fif and Henry while Frank took our pictures. The guys had to convinced me to go there cause behind me was like nothing, we're like up the hill and that's scared me. There were quite many people as well since it's Saturday.
The last destination was probably the worst of all. Cause maybe we're too tired and the guide didn't speak English and he was trying to make jokes which I don't think it's funny. We went to an Apple Garden in Batu. Apples which we picked from the trees were soooo small...just like baby apples. Henry was thinking it's more like safari rather than Apple Garden cause there were so many animals in their cages there. I didn't take so many pictures there. I feel that I'd been to some tour or things like that and the weird thing is that the tour is like so close to my place. I should've done this before. But anyway, great weekend to welcome this fasting month.
